Similar to garlic bread and great served at a BBQ or with a bowl of soup.
Ingredients
- 125 g soft butter
- 4 tbs French onion soup mix
- 1 French bread
Method

Step 1In a small bowl, combine butter and soup mix.

Step 2Cut French stick into 2 cm slices. Butter each side with mixture.

Step 3Reform the loaf and wrap in aluminium foil. Bake in a pre-heated 180C oven for 15 minutes.

Step 4Serve hot in foil.
Recipe Notes
Taste the mixture before spreading on bread to make sure you have a nice balance in flavour. I use salt-reduced ingredients.
