Egg and bacon pie. This pie is a family favourite in our household and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 7 egg
  • 2 1/2 cup bacon rashers pieces
  • 2 spring onion
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced

Method

  • Step 1
    Line a pie or quiche dish with puff pastry.
  • Step 2
    Slightly whisk eggs with milk.
  • Step 3
    Place bacon in the pie dish.
  • Step 4
    Add egg and milk mixture.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle spring onions over the top.
  • Step 6
    Add mushrooms around the edge of the pie.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 180C for 45 minutes or until firm to touch.
Recipe Notes
Tomatoes can be added instead of mushrooms around the rim and centre of the pie half way through the cooking time. ½ cup of cheese can also be added to the egg and milk mixture. I have cooked it both ways and each time it has turned out lovely.
