The ultimate quick and easy pasta that is so tasty and filling and very few ingredients. I usually have all the ingredients on hand, and because we have chickens another way to use up eggs is always a winner.
Ingredients
- 4 egg beaten
- 200 g bacon rashers
- 1 onion small
- 500 g pasta
- 1 tsp garlic crushed
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 handful cheese grated *to taste *optional
Method
-
Step 1Boil your pasta as per packet instructions - do not drain pasta when cooked.
-
Step 2While your pasta is cooking, dice onion and bacon and saute in a little bit of butter with the garlic.
-
Step 3When bacon and onion is starting to brown nicely, start adding in your cooked pasta, tossing to combine. Add in a couple of tablespoons of the water from the pasta to your pan as well.
-
Step 4Add the chopped parsley, and add your eggs, tossing continually until the eggs are all cooked and it is all mixed evenly.
-
Step 5Serve, with cheese on top if you want (optional)
Equipment
- non-stick frying pan
- saucepan
Recipe Notes
This recipe has no cream, and you don't even have to add the cheese, but it has so much flavor you would think it did have cream in it. Definitely a winner in my home and easy as well.
