An economical recipe for an old favourite, plus they make a great gift at Christmas.
Ingredients
- 2 cups icing sugar
- 1/2 cup plain flour sifted
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup sultanas
- 125 g butter melted
- 2 tbs sherry
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
Method

Step 1Mix the first five ingredients together in a large bowl.

Step 2Add the next three ingredients and stir well.

Step 3Make small balls the size of a rounded teaspoon and roll in coconut.

Step 4Keep refrigerated.
Recipe Notes
If the weather is hot, refrigerate the mixture before rolling into balls.
