Ingredients

  • 6 button mushrooms thinly sliced
  • 1/2 garlic clove crushed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbs gravy powder
  • 2 tbs cream
  • 1 pinch pepper *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Fry off mushrooms and crushed garlic, preferably in pan after cooking meat.
  • Step 2
    Add water and bring to the boil.
  • Step 3
    Make gravy to a paste with a little water. Add gravy paste and stir until thickened.
  • Step 4
    Stir in cream and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Serve over steaks.
Recipe Notes
You may need to add a little more water depending on how thick the sauce is before you add the cream.
