Slow cooked pork is easy to shred, so tender and incredibly flavourful.
Ingredients
- 1.5kg boneless pork shoulder, skin off and cut in half
- 2 medium brown onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs ground cumin
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 1/2 cups Massel* Beef Style Liquid Stock
- 1 tbs barbecue sauce
- Salt & pepper

Method

Step 1In a frying pan, heat oil over high heat, brown the pork all sides. Transfer to plate.

Step 2In the same pan, then cook onion and garlic over medium heat until soften.

Step 3Place cooked onion, garlic and all other ingredients into the slow cooker, stir with spatula to evenly combine.

Step 4Then place pork in the middle of the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Step 5Once time as passed, remove pork carefully from slow cooker and shred meat.

Step 6Return shredded pork to slow cooker and mix with sauce.

Step 7Serve as desired, with dinner roll, mashed potatoes or bread etc.
