A twist on the original Chicken Kiev recipe with less fuss and more flavour.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast fillet
- 4 tsp butter
- 4 tsp garlic diced
- 4 tsp parsley chopped
- 1 pinch ground pepper grated
- 1 cup cheese grated
- 200 g bacon rashers diced uncooked
- 2 tbs olive oil
Method

Step 1Butterfly chicken breast and rub with garlic, placing majority in the centre of the breast.

Step 2Add the butter into the centre of the breast. Adjust to taste.

Step 3Add the diced bacon onto the breast, sprinkle with cracked pepper.

Step 4Close breast using cooking string and add a generous amount of olive oil.

Step 5Bake at 180C for 25 minutes then add grated cheese and bake until cheese has browned.
Recipe Notes
For the butter, I use about a 1 cm thickness sliced from the block. I add more diced bacon when I add the cheese at the end and more cracked pepper. If you like spice swap the pepper for cayenne pepper.
