This easy Caramilk pudding is rich with caramel flavours and makes its own sweet syrup in the base. Enjoy it straight out of the oven with ice-cream.
Ingredients
- 395g tin condensed milk
- 125g butter
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 180g block Cadbury Caramilk chocolate
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
Method
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a 6-cup oven-proof dish with butter.
-
Step 2Reserve 1/2 cup condensed milk. Beat remaining condensed milk with butter and golden syrup until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well between each addition. Fold through flour and milk.
-
Step 3Reserve 60g of Caramilk. Roughly chop remaining 120g and fold through batter. Pour into prepared dish. Finely chop reserved Caramilk and sprinkle evenly over pudding batter with the brown sugar. Combine reserved condensed milk with boiling water and carefully pour over pudding.
-
Step 4Bake for 20-25 minutes until pudding is just set. Serve with vanilla ice-cream.
Recipe Notes
- Be careful not to overcook the pudding. The top will be set but it will still be a little squishy in the middle if you insert a skewer.
