Everybody loves these cookies, they are a truly mouth watering treat.
Ingredients
- 120 g unsalted butter room temperature
- 200 g plain flour
- 40 g caster sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 100 g walnuts ground
- 100 g unsalted butter room temperature
- 3 tbs milk cold
- 12 tbs caster sugar
- 2 tbs water
- 80 g unsalted butter
- 1 packs hazelnuts
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 160C and grease sheet molds.

Step 2Sift flour in a bowl, add butter, sugar and yolk - combine until mixture forms a dough. Cover with cooking foil and leave for about 20 minutes in fridge.

Step 3For filling mixture: In a separate bowl place ground walnuts ,butter and cold milk and combine. Cover and leave in fridge just before use, take out 30 minutes prior to filling cookies.

Step 4For chocolate topping: melt 80g butter in small saucepan over medium heat, add 12 teaspoons sugar, stir, add 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoon cocoa stir and cook until you get smooth sauce. Cover with lid and take it from stove.

Step 5Now create a small basket or cup shape by taking a little bit of dough and with your thumb press gently into cookies shapes. Place them on oven tray and bake in preheated oven on 160C until lightly brown. Let them to cool, then gently slide out from the shapes. Allow to cool and fill the following day.

Step 6Add a portion of filling to each of the cookie cups.

Step 7Coat with chocolate and top with a hazelnut.
Recipe Notes
You can keep that cookies in plastic container for one year. I always make double or triple of the dough and ingredients.
