Ingredients

  • 2 tbs oil
  • 2 onion large
  • 1 tbs curry powder
  • 12 thick sausage
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 cups beef stock (liquid)
  • 1 tbs water
  • 1 tbs cornflour
  • 1 cup peas

Method

  • Step 1
    Add sultanas to the 2 cups of beef stock. This allows them to swell with the beef flavour while you cook the sausages and make curry mixture.
  • Step 2
    Cook sausages as normal and slice, set aside.
  • Step 3
    Heat oil in a large heavy based pan, cook onions and curry powder for 2 - 3 minutes Add cooked sliced sausages and turn frequently for approximately 2 minutes.

    Add sultanas and beef stock and simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken gravy with blended cornflour and water and add peas and simmer for a further 5 minutes.

Pork or chicken sausages are popular alternatives to beef.
