No summer barbecue is complete without a crunchy noodle salad on the side!
Ingredients
- 1 Chinese cabbage, finely chopped
- 4 spring onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 2 two minute noodle packets, cooked cooled
- 1 packet original fried noodles
- 1 handful bean sprouts
Dressing
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 4 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup olive oil
Method

Step 1Cook noodles following packet instructions.

Step 2Combine all the dressing ingredients in a saucepan. Stir well over a low heat until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.

Step 3Toss the cabbage, chopped shallots, almonds, cooled noodles and beans sprouts in a salad bowl. Add the dressing and toss to combine.

Step 4Just before serving add fried noodles and mix thoroughly.
