Ingredients

  • 4 tbs rice washed
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 2 tsp butter

Method

  • Step 1
    Place rice in a shallow dish and add the milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla.

    Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
  • Step 4
    Break up butter and place pieces on top.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 140C, stirring after 30 minutes. Continue to cook for 25-35 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Serve hot or cold.
