Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g white sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 2 cup dates chopped
  • 2 cup Cornflakes
  • 2 cup plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Method

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
  • Step 2
    Add eggs and dates.
  • Step 3
    Combine sifted flour and baking powder.
  • Step 4
    Grease oven tray.
  • Step 5
    Using teaspoons of mixture, roll in cornflakes and place on tray.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 180C for approximately 20 minutes.
Recipe Notes
You may wish to add sultanas as another option.
