There are chocolate brownies, and then there are white chocolate blondies, and these ones are extra delicious made with condensed milk and Caramilk chocolate pieces throughout.
Ingredients
- 395g tin condensed milk
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 250g butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 180g block Caramilk chocolate
Method
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Grease and line an 18cm x 25cm slice tin.
-
Step 2In a large bowl, whisk together condensed milk, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt and stir until just combined. Chop 3/4 of the Caramilk block into small pieces and stir through batter. Pour into prepared tin. Break remaining Caramilk into larger pieces and press gently into the top of the batter. Bake for 22 minutes until just set but still very wobbly in the centre.
-
Step 3Allow to cool in the tin. Slice into squares.
Recipe Notes
You want your blondies to have a fudgy rather than cakey consistency so be careful not to overcook them.
