Sweet and sticky pork ribs.
Ingredients
- 1 kg pork ribs
Marinade
- 2 star anise crushed
- 1 tbs hoisin sauce
- 2 tbs light soy sauce
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 2 tbs honey
- 1 1/2 tsp dry sherry
- 2 tsp ginger grated
- 1 garlic clove large
- 1 1/2 tsp red liquid food colouring
Method

Step 1For the marinade, combine all ingredients together and mix well.

Step 2Pour over pork, cover and refrigerate overnight, turning occasionally if possible.

Step 3Barbeque pork, brushing with marinade, for around 15 minutes.
Recipe Notes
1 tablespoon of Chinese five spice powder can be substituted for the star anise.
