A very tasty basic soup recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken drumstick skinless
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 carrot diced
  • 2 celery stalk diced
  • 3L chicken stock (liquid)
  • 100 g noodles
  • 1 seasoning

Method

  • Step 1
    Put all ingredients except noodles in a large pot.
  • Step 2
    Cover and bring to the boil. Simmer for 2 hours.
  • Step 3
    Remove chicken and take meat off the bone and dice finely.
  • Step 4
    Return to pot. Add noodles and cook for further 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Season if needed.
Recipe Notes

This is a very basic recipe - add more vegetables if desired and more noodles if you would like a thicker soup. I also used Barossa fine egg noodles but broken up spaghetti would do just as well. Any leftovers can be frozen.
