Bite sized rice balls that taste great and need little preparation. Use them as finger foods, appetisers or just a snack.
Ingredients
- 4 cup rice
- 2 cup cheddar cheese grated
- 2 egg
- 4 pieces toast
- 1 cup butter
Method

Step 1Boil rice until well cooked. Drain well.

Step 2Break toast into small crumbs.

Step 3Mix rice, toast, cheese and egg together.

Step 4Melt butter in a frying pan and add rice mixture.

Step 5Fry until all the butter has been absorbed. Cool slightly.

Step 6While still warm, take a small amount of the mixture and gently but firmly roll into a bite sized ball.
Recipe Notes
Add sugar and various other spices and sauces to rice water while boiling. This adds so much more flavor! Garlic can also be added to the mixture before frying. Best served warm and fresh.
