Ingredients

  • 4 cup rice
  • 2 cup cheddar cheese grated
  • 2 egg
  • 4 pieces toast
  • 1 cup butter

Method

  • Step 1
Boil rice until well cooked. Drain well.
  • Step 2
    Break toast into small crumbs.
  • Step 3
Mix rice, toast, cheese and egg together.
  • Step 4
Melt butter in a frying pan and add rice mixture.
  • Step 5
Fry until all the butter has been absorbed. Cool slightly.
  • Step 6
While still warm, take a small amount of the mixture and gently but firmly roll into a bite sized ball.
Recipe Notes
Add sugar and various other spices and sauces to rice water while boiling. This adds so much more flavor! Garlic can also be added to the mixture before frying. Best served warm and fresh.
