A simple and easy cheese sauce that can be made on the stove top or in the microwave.
Ingredients
- 2 tbs soft butter
- 2 tbs plain flour
- 1 cup light milk
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 1/2 cup tasty cheese grated
Method

Step 1Melt the butter or margarine in a small sauce pan. Add the flour and stir with a wire whisk for 1 minute.

Step 2Remove from heat and whisk in the milk. Return the saucepan to heat and stir until the sauce thickens.

Step 3Season to taste with salt and pepper and add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese melts.

- 1 saucepan
- 1 whisk
Recipe Notes
This sauce also can be made in the microwave. Use soft butter or margarine.
