This easy to make slab cake is perfect for afternoon tea. It uses packet cake mix and creamy Caramilk, and will have everyone begging for seconds.
Ingredients
- 440g vanilla cake mix
- 2 x 180g Cadbury Caramilk chocolate
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup milk
- 60g butter
- 500ml cream
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Method

Step 1Make cake according to instructions and bake in a 25cm x 25cm cake tin. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Step 2Melt 1 x 180g Caramilk block with coconut oil. Set aside and allow to cool to room temperature.

Step 3Beat 450ml cream until thickened and add melted Caramilk chocolate. Combine.

Step 4Spread the cream and Caramilk chocolate mixture over the cake. Place in the fridge to cool for an hour.

Step 5Melt 3/4 of the remaining Caramilk with the remaining 50mls cream in a bain-marie until smooth. Set aside to cool to room temperature.

Step 6Pour cooled Caramilk over cream layer and spread with a knife.

Step 7Grate remaining Caramilk over the cake. Slice into squares and serve.
