Great tasting pasta dish.
Ingredients
- 375 g beef mince
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 425 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 200 g pasta small
- 2 carrot thinly sliced
- 1 zucchini thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 chicken stock cube crumbled
- 1/2 bunch silverbeet chopped washed
- 30 g butter
- 2 1/2 tbs plain flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup tasty cheese grated
Method

Step 1Pre heat oven to 180C.

Step 2Brown mince and garlic in a frypan.

Step 3Stir in tomatoes and paste, bring to the boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for about 5 minutes.

Step 4Add pasta to a large pan of boiling water, boil, uncovered until just tender, drain.

Step 5Place pasta over base of ovenproof dish, top with meat mixture.

Step 6Place carrot, zucchini, water and stock cube in a large saucepan, bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 7Add silverbeet and stir over heat until liquid has evaporated.

Step 8Spoon vegetables over meat layer.

Step 9Melt butter in saucepan, add flour, stir over heat for 1 minute.

Step 10Remove from heat, gradually stir in milk. Return to heat, stir constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 11Pour over vegetables, sprinkle with cheese.

Step 12Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
