I make this every Christmas.
Ingredients
- 6 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup rum
- 2 cup milk
- 2 cup cream
Method

Step 1Beat eggs for 2-3 minutes until very frothy.

Step 2Gradually beat in sugar, vanilla and nutmeg.

Step 3Stir in brandy, rum, milk and cream.

Step 4Pour into jug for serving.
Recipe Notes
All ingredients need to be very cold, keep in fridge until time to prepare. I like to make this the night before and leave it to chill in the fridge. I quickly blend the egg nog again before serving. I use a cocktail blender because it has a tap on the front but any blender or mixer will do. Makes about 1.5 litres. I use Coruba or Captain Morgan rum.
