A rich, dense, fudge-like chocolate dessert cake that will satisfy any chocolate lover.
Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 375 g dark cooking chocolate
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 2 tbs milk
- 5 eggs
- 2 tbs cocoa powder *to serve
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 170C.

Step 2Line a 22 cm spring form tin with baking paper.

Step 3Melt butter and chocolate together over a double boiler until melted and smooth.

Step 4Add the sugar, flour, ground almonds, milk and eggs. Mix together well.

Step 5Pour into prepared tin.

Step 6Cover with tin foil, to stop over-browning.

Step 7Bake for 40 minutes.

Step 8Serve sprinkled with cocoa.
