Ingredients

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts cut in half ends trimmed washed
  • 300 g bacon rashers
  • 2 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 pinch salt *to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Cut the bacon to small pieces and fry in frying pan until it browns. Add crushed garlic and brussels sprouts. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds.
  • Step 2
    Pour in 1/2 cup water, cover with lid and cook until the liquid evaporates, or until the brussels sprout is soft with a slight crunch.
  • Step 3
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • frying pan
Recipe Notes
With a side of potatoes and a meaty main - this makes a whole meal. You can use ham instead of bacon
