Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 2 tbs barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 3 bacon rashers chopped
  • 1 cup tasty cheese grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup cream

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Step 2
    Lightly grease a flat baking tray.
  • Step 3
    Join pastry sheets together along one side and stretch to fit tray.
  • Step 4
    Cover with baking paper and fill with dried beans or rice.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove paper and beans.
  • Step 7
    Spread pastry with barbeque sauce.
  • Step 8
    Layer onion, bacon and cheese over the pastry.
  • Step 9
    Combine egg and cream and pour over pastry.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 15 minutes.
Recipe Notes
When grandchildren come over I leave out the onion. This is a simple meal most children will eat.
