Just a handful of ingredients are needed to make these delicious little condensed milk snowball biscuits. They taste like a sweet buttery shortbread and are delicious with a cup of tea.
Ingredients
- 250g butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- Icing sugar, for dusting
Method
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 150C/130C fan forced. Line two large oven trays with baking paper.
-
Step 2Place butter in the bowl of a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, or use hand-held beaters, and beat for 5 minutes until very pale, scraping down the sides of the bowl occasionally. Add condensed milk and beat for a further 3 minutes. Add flour and beat slowly until just combined.
-
Step 3Use a small cookie/ice-cream scoop to scoop hemispheres of dough onto the prepared trays. Alternatively, roll into balls and press to slightly flatten the base. Leave 2cm space between balls to allow for spreading.
-
Step 4Bake for 12 minutes until slightly golden. Allow to cool on the tray until set, then transfer to a rack to cool completely. Dust liberally with icing sugar.
Recipe Notes
Notes:
I used a 4cm cookie scoop. You can make them bigger, but adjust the cooking time accordingly.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
