Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 1/3 cups plain yoghurt
  • 100g herb garlic butter

Method

  • Step 1
Place flour and yoghurt in a large bowl and mix to combine. Turn out onto a floured surface and use your hands to knead dough until smooth. Return to bowl, cover with a tea towel and rest for 30 minutes.
  • Step 2
Preheat your pie maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. On a floured surface, roll dough out into a 36cm x 25cm rectangle, with the long edge in front of you. Spread with herb and garlic butter. Roll up to form a long sausage shape. Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 even pieces approximately 3cm long. Turn each piece onto it’s side so you can see the scroll.
  • Step 3
Cook in batches for 8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Step 4
Alternatively, preheat oven to 180C. Place scrolls close together but not quite touching on an oven tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 15 minutes.

You can purchase herb and garlic butter in the refrigerator section at the supermarket. Alternatively, make your own by mixing 100g butter with 1 crushed clove of garlic and 1 tablespoon of chopped herbs (parsley, chives and dill are a great combo).
