An easy, hearty meal for those cold winter nights. This recipe is perfect for a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef steak, diced
- 4 potatoes diced
- 4 carrots diced
- 40 g French onion instant soup
- 1 1/2 tsp beef stock (powder)
- 2 x 440 g canned diced tomato
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 celery sticks chopped
- 1/2 tsp all purpose seasoning
- 1/4 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
Method

Step 1Brown meat and place it with all other ingredients into a slow cooker.

Step 2Cook on low for approximately 6-8 hours.

Step 3Add a little water and cornflour to thicken if needed.

Step 4Serve with crusty bread.
