Ingredients

  • 180 g butter
  • 45 g golden syrup
  • 225 g sugar
  • 225 g plain flour
  • 45 g desiccated coconut
  • 115 g rolled oats
  • 90 g mixed nuts crushed
  • 45 ml hot water
  • 3 g bicarbonate of soda

Method

  • Step 1
    Mix dry ingredients (not bicarbonate of soda), in bowl.
  • Step 2
    Melt golden syrup and butter and add to dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
  • Step 3
    Mix together bicarbonate of soda and hot water and add to mix. Mix quickly until just clear.
  • Step 4
    Roll into a sausage and cut off to desired size. Place on baking trays and bake at 180C for approximately 18 minutes.

Recipe Notes
These biscuits will spread quite a bit, keep this in mind when you are putting them on a tray.
