Throw it in, walk away, come back later and enjoy. Leftovers are a joy to have in the fridge too.
Ingredients
- 2 kg lamb leg
- 500 g chat potatoes cleaned
- 4 tbs olive oil
- 1 1/2 tbs crushed garlic
- 1 tbs dried rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Method

Step 1Mix oil and herbs together.

Step 2Place potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Step 3Place lamb leg on top.

Step 4Lightly baste the lamb with the oil mixture

Step 5Turn lamb over and use the rest of the oil to baste the top side.

Step 6Cover and cook in the slow cooker for 5 hours, turning lamb and potatoes halfway through cooking.

Step 7For well-done meat, cut deep slashes in the lamb towards the end of the cooking time.

Recipe Notes
I thought the potatoes might need a bit of oil to stop them drying out, but the condensation and other ingredients kept them moist.
The juices can be used to make gravy.
