Woolworths Supermarkets have announced they are changing the number of products you can buy to curb panic buying in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
From today, you will be limited to two items per customer on most packaged products across Woolworths Supermarkets and Metro stores, and online.
In a statement, Woolworths said: “This means that you’ll only be able to buy 2 products from any single category or section (such as coffee), regardless of the brand or variety.”
However there is good news! No limits are currently in place for the following items:
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Meat (excluding mince)
- Deli
- Bakery
- Seafood
- Fresh milk
- Canned fish
- Drinks
- Baby food
- Yoghurts
- Easter products
- Wet dog and cat food
