Our friends over at Woolies have released a recipe on their website for a hot cross bun pizza and we can’t stop thinking about it.
Yep, you read that right. This extravaganza of a recipe needs just five ingredients: fruitless hot cross buns, tomato pasta sauce, triple smoked ham, mozzarella cheese and some dried Italian herbs.
For a pull-apart style pizza that’s ready in just 20 minutes, all you need to do is preheat the oven to 170 degrees, then grab the six hot cross buns and cut a slit in each of them, then stuff them with the ingredients above. Toast for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Woolies says their hot cross bun pizza makes for a great after-school snack, but they can also be made in advance for school lunches and eaten cold.
You know we love a hacky recipe (especially those with 3 ingredients, or even 2), so we’ll definitely be trying this one out. You can grab the full recipe here.
