What in the SPAM?
Get ready, Melbourne!
Concrete Boots has taken fries to a whole new level, blessing the lucky folk of Melbourne with – we can’t believe we’re saying this – SPAM chips!
Better known as meat in a can, we don’t know anyone who has actually ever bought this World War II staple until now.
But this Richmond watering hole might just be onto something magical.
So what even is a SPAM chip?
It’s literally a block of SPAM, sliced into thick batons, then fried in cotton seed oil and popped back in the tin from which they came. And if you’re a condiments fan, a side of barbecue sauce is all you’ll need.
They’re super salty and fatty in flavour, so one side will comfortably serve two to four people.
And they seem to be a hit with those game enough to try with the proof posted on social media, of course.
We dare you to take this $9 challenge and tell us what you think.
Hey, you can’t knock it ’til you try it, right?!
