There’s a designated international day for just about every food type imaginable, from the good, to the bad, to the ugly (we’re looking at you, World Tripe Day). Thankfully, tomorrow is most definitely a good one: the 6th of July is International Fried Chicken Day, and Korean Restaurant chain, Nene Chicken, are celebrating in the best way we could possibly imagine: they’re giving away free fried chicken.

That’s right, tomorrow, at five of their restaurants across the country, Nene will be giving away free fried wingettes, drumettes and boneless chicken to the first 100 customers. Plus, five lucky winners will have the chance to take home some rather unique Korean fried chicken – dipped and dusted in 23 Karat gold leaf.

The secret to Nene’s irresistible, finger-licking KFC (Koren Fried Chicken) is the triple marination prior to frying and their secret batter mix which ensures an ultra crunchy outside and a moist and juicy inside.

So, make like a spring chicken and get down to your nearest Nene tomorrow for your fix of complimentary chook. Giveaways start at 12 noon, but we’d suggest lining up a little earlier if you don’t want to miss out.
