Inspired by Scandinavian heritage and cuisine, Norden is the physical representation of the phrase buy once, buy well.
Finnish company Fiskars has an almost 370-year-old history, so their expertise and know-how put us in good hands when it comes to cast iron pots. Their new range comprises all the things you want legacy items to have: cast iron, steel and birchwood. The pans and pots are also coated with enamel and finished with a Thermium mineral treatment developed by Fiskars, after careful research.
Timeless Finnish tradition
Fiskars’ brand story originates in the woodlands of Finland, in Fiskars Village, where the timeless traditions of crafting the highest-quality hand tools have been passed down through the generations since 1649.
The company believes in durable and purposeful Nordic design that caters to all kitchens.
The Norden range reflects the heritage from which the company is founded but with a twist for modern-day living. Pieces that bear the Norden stamp are inspired by Nordic nature, with one foot in the past and another in the future. They are intended to become cherished possessions in your family.
The old-age materials are premium, beautiful, and natural and will provide long-lasting performance.
“We at Fiskars believe that life is a creative journey and that happiness is to be found, not at the end but along the way. For us, the kitchen is a happy place, and we want to help cooking enthusiasts embrace their passion, their mess, and their creations with a smile.
Our innovative, beautifully designed, high-quality pots, pans and knives will help deliver and enhance this joy,” said Petri Tervonen, VP, Business & Offering, Cooking.

Is the Fiskars Norden range non-stick?
The collection consists of non-stick cast iron cookware and steel knives with wooden handles. The age-old material is coated in a mineral treatment making it very easy to use and even easier to clean.
Do I need to season the Fiskars Norden range?
Unlike most cast-iron pots and pans, the Thermium coating on the Norden range prevents food from sticking to the pans even at high temperatures. This results in a rustproof, durable and easy-to-care-for product that also allows you to use metal ladles and spatulas. Metal instruments won’t damage the mineral treatment either, but don’t cut or scratch the surface with a sharp object so as not to damage the enamel coating.
What is the birchwood bit for?
Fiskars have even thought of a trivet. The lid of the cast iron pot is decorated with a wooden ring that also gives you somewhere to place the hot pot.

Can I use the Norden range on my stove?
Whether gas, ceramic, induction or traditional, kitchen hobs come in all shapes and sizes. To ensure you get the best from yours, whatever its style, Fiskars has developed a range of pans that work in harmony with your hob. So, now you can rest assured that your cooking will be as effortless as it is tasty.
