A nice, easy, hearty meal that you can whip up in no time.
Ingredients
- 500g lamb fillets thinly sliced
- 2 onions
- 1 tbs oil
Marinade
- 1 egg beaten
- 2 tbs soy sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tbs garlic crushed
Sauce
- 2 tbs water
- 1 tbs chilli sauce
- 1 tbs hoisin sauce
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger chopped
Method

Step 1Combine marinade ingredients, then add the lamb and allow to stand in the fridge for two hours.

Step 2In a wok or frypan, heat oil and fry onions.

Step 3Add meat and stir-fry.

Step 4Add sauce and warm thoroughly.

Step 5Serve on a bed of rice or noodles.
Equipment
- 1 wok
Recipe Notes
Use lamb fillets or eye of loin.
If you're in a hurry, you don't have to marinate the meat you could just leave it for 5-10 minutes.
