Ingredients

  • 60 g butter
  • 3 cup gluten-free self-raising flour
  • 280 ml milk
  • 1 egg beaten

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 220C and line a tray with baking paper.
  • Step 2
    Rub butter into flour. Add beaten egg and milk, cutting in with a knife lightly.

  • Step 3
    Once incorporated, press out onto floured bench and cut into rounds with floured cutter.
  • Step 4
    Place on tray fairly close together, and bake for 12-13 minutes.

  • 1 baking paper
  • 1 knife
Recipe Notes

I've tried lots of different gluten free flour brands, but believe that White Wings gluten free flour is the best for scones. Other brands seem to make a heavier scone.
