A different way to serve spaghetti.
Ingredients
- 1 tbs oil
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 zucchini grated small
- 1 carrot grated small
- 350 g beef mince
- 550 g pasta sauce
- 375 g spaghetti
- 2 cups bechamel sauce
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese grated
Method

Step 1Heat oil in a large frying pan and saute onion, zucchini and carrot until onion is soft.

Step 2Add mince and cook until browned.

Step 3Add pasta sauce and simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes.

Step 4While the sauce is cooking, boil the spaghetti.

Step 5Combine the spaghetti and sauce and place in a casserole dish.

Step 6Pour over the bechamel sauce, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and bake for about 30 minutes, until browned on top.
Recipe Notes
I use a tomato sauce that has extra added herbs in it. Bechamel sauce seems to be readily available at the supermarket these days but I prefer to make my own, if time permits.
