An open grill sandwich that's great with a beer.
Ingredients
- 8 beef fillet steaks
- 4 roma tomatoes
- 4 slices bread
- 1/2 cup whole-egg mayonnaise
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar *to dress
Method

Step 1Cook steaks on a heated grill or BBQ.

Step 2Place tomatoes cut-side up on an oiled tray then drizzle with olive oil.

Step 3Place under the grill until soft (about 10 minutes).

Step 4Combine mayonnaise and garlic.

Step 5Toast both sides of the bread, then spread each piece with the mayonnaise mixture.

Step 6Top with steaks and tomato, and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
