Ingredients

  • 8 beef fillet steaks
  • 4 roma tomatoes
  • 4 slices bread
  • 1/2 cup whole-egg mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar *to dress

Method

  • Step 1
    Cook steaks on a heated grill or BBQ.
  • Step 2
    Place tomatoes cut-side up on an oiled tray then drizzle with olive oil.
  • Step 3
    Place under the grill until soft (about 10 minutes).
  • Step 4
    Combine mayonnaise and garlic.
  • Step 5
    Toast both sides of the bread, then spread each piece with the mayonnaise mixture.
  • Step 6
    Top with steaks and tomato, and sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
