Baked in the oven, it just has to be eaten with your fingers.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 kg beef ribs
- 1 tsp oil
- 1/2 cup spring onion thinly sliced
- 4 garlic clove crushed
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup treacle
- 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 tsp sweet chilli sauce
Method

Step 1In a large pan combine ribs with enough cold water to cover. Bring to the boil over a medium heat. Cover.

Step 2Remove from heat and let stand for 30 minutes and drain ribs.

Step 3Heat oil in a saucepan over a medium heat.

Step 4Add spring onions and gently saute until soft. Add garlic and cook stirring for 1 minute.

Step 5Stir in tomato sauce, vinegar, treacle, peanut butter, soy and chili sauce. Cook until for about 10 minutes or until sauce slightly thickens.

Step 6Remove from heat and reserve one cup of sauce.

Step 7Preheat oven to 190C.

Step 8Line a shallow baking dish with foil, brush ribs both sides with sauce and place on foil.

Step 9Cover with foil and bake for about 1 hour, turn and brush ribs with more sauce every 20 minutes until tender and cooked through.

Step 10Place ribs on serving platter.

Step 11Serve with reheated reserved sauce.
