Ingredients

  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 tsp green peppercorns
  • 2 tbs dry sherry
  • 1/2 cup light evaporated milk
  • 2 tbs cornflour
  • 1 tsp water

Method

  • Step 1
    Drain and crush the peppercorns.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a saucepan and add peppercorns and sherry.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the evaporated skim milk.
  • Step 4
    Mix cornflour and water together to make a paste and add to saucepan, stirring constantly over heat until mixture boils and thickens.
Recipe Notes
You can use a rolling pin to crush the peppercorns if desired.
