Golden onions that always disappear from the nibbles plate.
Ingredients
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 4 brown onions halved sliced lengthways
- 3 tbs golden syrup
Method

Step 1Heat the oil and garlic.

Step 2Add sliced onions and fry on a low heat for 25 minutes until soft and brown.

Step 3Add golden syrup and fry for another 15 minutes.

Step 4Serve slightly warm.

Serve onions on a platter with crusty fresh bread and camembert, or brie.
