Ingredients
- 4 egg separated
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1 1/4 cup thickened cream
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 cup Cointreau
Topping
- 1 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup Cointreau
Method

Step 1Line a 10 x 20 cm loaf pan or 22 cm round spring form pan with greased foil.

Step 2Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually beat in egg yolks and fold into egg white mixture.

Step 3Whip the cream until soft peaks form, then gradually beat in the condensed milk.

Step 4Fold the cream and condensed milk into the egg mixture, then stir in the icing sugar and Cointreau.

Step 5Pour evenly into the pan and freeze until firm.

Step 6Topping: Pour orange juice into a saucepan and simmer to reduce to about 1 cup.

Step 7Cool, then add Cointreau and pour carefully over the firm ice cream.

Step 8Freeze, then cover with plastic wrap.

Step 9To serve, remove ice cream from pan, transfer to plate and cut into slices or wedges.
