A smooth, creamy custard.
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 4 tbs custard powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence *to taste
- 400 g condensed milk
- 4 cups low-fat milk
Method

Step 1Beat eggs and custard powder together until smooth and well-blended.

Step 2Add vanilla and condensed milk, then mix well.

Step 3Add milk and stir constantly, bring to the boil until thickened, then remove from heat.
Recipe Notes
I also give it a bit of a whizz with the stick blender for a really creamy consistency after cooking. This makes a nice thickish custard so use more or less powder for your desired consistency.
