Ingredients

  • 500 g spirals pasta shapes large
  • 300 ml sour cream
  • 250 ml cream
  • 2 cup cheese grated
  • 3 cup mixed vegetables diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp fresh mixed herbs finely chopped

Method

  • Step 1
    Grease a large dish.
  • Step 2
    Cook pasta until bite-tender.

  • Step 3
    Place pasta, cream, 1 cup grated cheese, salt and pepper, vegetables and herbs in dish.
  • Step 4
    Mix well to combine.
  • Step 5
    Pour sour cream over pasta, sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of grated cheese.
  • Step 6
    Cover dish with foil. Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Remove foil, bake further 10-15 minutes until cheese topping is browned.

Recipe Notes

Gluten free pasta be substituted in this dish. Quantity of cheese can be adjusted to personal taste. I use a 30 x 24 x 6 cm bainmarie dish for this recipe. Evaporated milk can substitute cream and ¼ teaspoon dried mixed herbs instead of fresh herbs. You can use vegetables of choice e.g. spring onions, peas, carrot, corn, asparagus, capsicum, sweet potato, broccoli.
