Gluten and dairy free, this is a very quick alternative for busy families with allergies.
Ingredients
- 400 g canned apple
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 90 g Tablelands margarine
- 2 tbs raw sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Method

Step 1Place pie apples into a 24 cm pie dish and sprinkle with sugar.

Step 2Crumble: Rub margarine, flour and sugar together using fingertips until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

Step 3Place crumble over the pie apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 4Bake at 180C for 20 minutes or until brown or microwave on high 5-7 minutes.
Recipe Notes
The crumble will appear a little damp, but tastes great.
If you prefer using apples you can do so, but this saves so much time and my boys just love it.
Serve it with gluten-free custard made with soy milk for extra taste.
I use white wings gluten free flour and Tablelands dairy-free margarine.
