Ingredients

  • 400 g canned apple
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 90 g Tablelands margarine
  • 2 tbs raw sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Method

  • Step 1
    Place pie apples into a 24 cm pie dish and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Step 2
    Crumble: Rub margarine, flour and sugar together using fingertips until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Step 3
    Place crumble over the pie apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 180C for 20 minutes or until brown or microwave on high 5-7 minutes.
Recipe Notes

The crumble will appear a little damp, but tastes great.

If you prefer using apples you can do so, but this saves so much time and my boys just love it.

Serve it with gluten-free custard made with soy milk for extra taste.

I use white wings gluten free flour and Tablelands dairy-free margarine.
