Ingredients

  • 440 g canned tuna in springwater
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 cucumber chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cheese grated
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cup celery stick chopped
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 440 g mushrooms chopped juiced
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Place onion and celery in a saucepan with a little butter and cook until soft.
  • Step 2
    Add flour, cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Gradually add milk, stir over heat until mixture boils and thickens.
  • Step 4
    Stir in cheese, remove from heat, add egg, cucumbers, tuna, champignons and juice, and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Pour mixture into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with a little cheese and bake at 180C until slightly bubbling and browned.

Recipe Notes

Use pickled cucumbers and champignons.
