Quick and easy spaghetti bolognaise. Great topping on potatoes in jackets with some bacon pieces, shredded cheese, spring onions and sour cream.
Ingredients
- 500 g beef mince
- 850 g tomato puree
- 45 g French onion instant soup
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tsp seasoning
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 2 tsp crushed garlic
- 440 g canned mixed vegetable finely chopped
- 1/2 cup red wine
Method
-
Step 1Brown mince and cook until all liquid has evaporated.
-
Step 2Add the wine and reduce again, stirring continually for around 3 minutes.
-
Step 3Add all herbs and blend all vegetables before adding other ingredients.
-
Step 4Bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
-
Step 5Simmer for around 20 minutes, checking regularly and continuing to stir.
-
Step 6Serve over cooked pasta.
Recipe Notes
Substitute mixed vegetables if desired for fresh soup vegetables cooked and blended before using. I prefer to use spaghetti bolognese herbs, a Masterfoods product and has all herbs needed except the marjoram.
