Quick and easy spaghetti bolognaise. Great topping on potatoes in jackets with some bacon pieces, shredded cheese, spring onions and sour cream. - sandyjoyb

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 850 g tomato puree
  • 45 g French onion instant soup
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 440 g canned mixed vegetable finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red wine

Method

  • Step 1
    Brown mince and cook until all liquid has evaporated.
  • Step 2
    Add the wine and reduce again, stirring continually for around 3 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add all herbs and blend all vegetables before adding other ingredients.
  • Step 4
    Bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
  • Step 5
    Simmer for around 20 minutes, checking regularly and continuing to stir.
  • Step 6
    Serve over cooked pasta.
Recipe Notes
Substitute mixed vegetables if desired for fresh soup vegetables cooked and blended before using. I prefer to use spaghetti bolognese herbs, a Masterfoods product and has all herbs needed except the marjoram.
