Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 425 g canned tomato soup
  • 425 g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbs tomato paste
  • 6 button mushrooms chopped
  • 1 zucchini chopped
  • 1 brown onion chopped
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 2 tbs red wine
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 packet spaghetti

Method

  • Step 1
    In a large saucepan put oil, garlic and onions.
  • Step 2
    Add mince and cook till meat is brown, stirring to ensure all mince is cooked.
  • Step 3
    Add tomato soup, tomato paste, mushrooms and zucchini. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.
  • Step 4
    Apart from the pasta, add all other ingredients, then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 5
    Place spaghetti/pasta in pot of boiling water and cook till tender.
  • Step 6
    Place spaghetti in a bowl and put sauce on top. Serve.
