If you love caramel slice you will love this version, it doesn't have chocolate on top.
Ingredients
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 egg lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
Topping
- 395 g condensed milk
- 30 g butter
- 2 tbs golden syrup
- 380 g caramel topping
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2Combine peanut butter, sugar, eggs and flour in a bowl and mix well.

Step 3Press into greased slice tin.

Step 4Bake for 10 minutes.

Step 5Topping: Place condensed milk, butter and golden syrup into saucepan until mixture boils and thickens.

Step 6Whisk in caramel filling, continue stirring over medium heat until mixture thickens, for approximately 5 minutes.

Step 7Pour over base and cook for a further 10 minutes.

Step 8Cool in tin for 4 hours and then slice.
