Ingredients

  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 2 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup self-raising flour

Topping

  • 395 g condensed milk
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 tbs golden syrup
  • 380 g caramel topping

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Step 2
    Combine peanut butter, sugar, eggs and flour in a bowl and mix well.
  • Step 3
    Press into greased slice tin.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Topping: Place condensed milk, butter and golden syrup into saucepan until mixture boils and thickens.
  • Step 6
    Whisk in caramel filling, continue stirring over medium heat until mixture thickens, for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Pour over base and cook for a further 10 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Cool in tin for 4 hours and then slice.

  • 1 20cm x 30cm slice pan
Recipe Notes

I prefer to use caramel Top 'n' Fill.
