A basic honey, soy sauce and Worcestershire marinade that I've tweaked over the years. The kids love it and I use the leftover marinade to make a spicy sauce just for me!
Ingredients
- 4 lamb chops
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tbs honey
- 1 cm ginger roughly chopped skin off
- 2 cloves garlic roughly chopped
- 2 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Method
-
Step 1Combine the sauces, honey, ginger, garlic, mustard and paprika. Run the honey bottle under the hot tap for a second then use the back of a spoon to stir it in properly.
-
Step 2Marinate the chops in the fridge for six hours, turning after 3 hours.
-
Step 3Grill chops.
-
Step 4Heat remaining marinade in a frying pan stirring.
-
Step 5Add a little flour to thicken into a sauce.
-
Step 6Pour sauce over chops.
-
Step 7Serve with steamed vegetables and mash, chips or macaroni cheese.
Equipment
- 1 frying pan
- 1 chargrill pan
Recipe Notes
Chilli flakes or fresh chilli would make it pretty darn good too. You can experiment with quantities, I don't measure when I make this so I've guesstimated the above. Try adding or taking out just about anything. You could use it for most other meat too.
